Delivering a Painting to the de Young Museum During the Apocalypse

They’d given me a narrow window to drop off my painting at the de Young Museum. It just happened to be on the eerie day last summer when we had no sunlight because of the thick smoke caused by the wildfires.

You can tell the sky is weird even though it’s early afternoon. But in spite of the smoke, the surreal scene my crew and I could not be deterred from our mission.

The show eventually opened and it was fun to see it all come together.
